The text expresses the sentiments of a woman, likened to a bush clover in the autumn field, who falls in love with a heartless man whose visits and letters have stopped. | Dampened unexpectedly at the sleeve, The bush clover did not resist And soon found herself Drenched with dew From the beckoning plume grass.
