Toji lives and plays in Portland Maine. He first studied with Phil Nyokai James and later received the title of Jyun Shihan from Yodo Kurahashi II in 2016. He regularly visits Kyoto to study Shakuhachi and hosts an annual workshop with Yodo Kurahashi II.
