Shigehara Reigo (Shigehara Masato) was born April 29th, 1916 in Tokyo. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Aoki Reibo I and was a member of Reibo-kai. He began teaching in 1938 and had branch offices in various locations in Toyama. He was the head of the Toyama branch of the Reibo-kai. His career spanned more than 40 years
