Born in Mito, Ibaraki in 1833.As a child studied with Matsunobu Sadao. At the age of 22 he was adopted by a doctor in Kawagoe named Yasuhara. Excelled in the arts. Became a student of Araki Kodō II (Chikuo), received his Shihan and started his own school.
