Matsushita Kindō / Matsushita Shinsui (Matsushita Sutekichi) was born May 6, 1909 in Hyogo Prefecture. He studied Ueda-ryū shakuhachi under Ueda Chikudō. In his 40+ years in the shakuhachi world, he was a member of the Osaka Sankyoku-kai and Chikuso-kai, as well as a consultant for the Ueda-ryū Osaka Executive Committee.
