Born 4/1/1908 in Tottori Prefecture. Studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Kawakatsu Shinzan. Earned his Shihan (teaching license) in 1938. A Director of the Tozan-ryū. A member of the Tottori branch of the Tozan-ryū Shakuhachi Gakku-kai. Career spanned more than 40 years.
