Graduated from Yokohama National University, Faculty of Education and Human Sciences, Global Environment Course. Studied shakuhachi under Matama Kazushi. He is a member of Chikushinkai, the Japanese music group "Mutsu-no", and the chamber choir JSKCY. He has been active in the shakuhachi band "Shakuhachi ni Ame", etc. He has been a member of the TAKiO BAND since 2012. He graduated from the 51st term of the NHK Traditional Japanese Music Technicians Training Program. In 2007, he won the Special Judge's Prize at the 2nd Japanese and Western Instruments Group Contest, and in 2008, he won the Excellence Prize at the 2nd Japanese Hibiki Group Contest in Shiobara.
