Wife of Nakao Tozan. Following the premature death of their son, Nakao Tozan II, in 1974, she took on the role of Tozan Ryū soke (family leader) as Nakao Tozan III. This controversial move led to a rift in the ranks of the Tozan Ryū that resulted in three separate factions of the school that continue to this day.
