Welcome to the Finale, celebrating year 25!

We are excited to invite you to the 25th Shakuhachi Summer Camp of the Rockies. We have reached the one-quarter-century mark, and on this anniversary, we have the bittersweet news that this will be the final Shakuhachi Summer Camp of the Rockies. It has indeed been an amazing run. We hosted annual camps at Sunrise Ranch in Loveland Colorado, had virtual and hybrid camps during the pandemic, and even held camps in two international locations - both Sydney ('08) and Kyoto (’12) that were associated with the World Shakuhachi Festivals on-location in those cities. For this finale in 2023, our amazing core faculty will all be returning to Loveland Colorado in person once again.

The success of the Shakuhachi Summer Camp of the Rockies over the years is a testament to the wonderful dedication of these amazing musicians and their passion for teaching. Being able to spend concentrated time with these great masters is what makes camp so special. If you choose to come to camp this year, either in person or virtually, we will do our best to make it a great experience for you. As the camp director Cory Sperry says “coming to the Shakuhachi Summer Camp of the Rockies is about as much fun as you can have legally.” Come join us. You won’t be disappointed!
