Born in Saitama Prefecture, she began playing the piano at the age of 3 and studied classical music for several years. While a student at Nihon University College of Art, Department of Music, Voice Course, she encountered the shakuhachi and formed the piano and shakuhachi unit "Hiai Shaku" and began performing. She studied piano under Kurita Naomi and Mimura Noriko, voice under Sasaki Shin, musical accompaniment under Okada Tamiaki, and shakuhachi under Fujiwara Dozan. Se is the first to pass the shakuhachi master examination of the Miyakoyama School of Shakuhachi Music. She is the founder of the Shiba Music School. Leader of the piano, shakuhachi, and viola unit "Sashie," member of the Japanese instrument quartet "Saitamatic," member of Orchestra Asia Japan, and accompanist for the TV animation "Poppetepic," as well as playing shinobue and shimedaiko in the Edo-sato Kagura company. She is also a member of the Shakuhachi Orchestra Asia Japan.
