Wolfgang Hessler lives in Zurich and Munich, he studies at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Munich and at the Music Academy in Basel. Wolfgang is a student of Andreas Fuyu Gutzwiller in the tradition of the Kinko school. He has also had lessons with Kawase Junsuke III, head of the Chikuyusha (Kinko school). In October 2002 he had his Shihan-menjô ceremony , and was awarded his champion's name Fuyûgen.
