A trio for three different lengths of shakuhachi: 1.6, 1.8 and 2.3 (fundamental tones e' ,d' ,a).
The second section employs many playing techniques similar to those found in the traditional solo shakuhachi music (honkyoku). The blues scale is used extensively.

With music we create an environment. Pitch relationships, tone colors, rhythms, and dynamics work together in a special atmosphere of calm and storm, silence and sound. New techniques developed by John Kaizan Neptune - such as fingering combinations employing 3:2 rhythmic ratios-are utilized.

Instruments:
1.8. and 2.3 shakuhachi, hyoshigi (wooden clappers), uchiwadaiko (membrane drums), bowl-shaped gongs, various bells and wind chimes.
