This school was founded by Kanetomo Seien in ca 1880

History:

Seien ryû represents the lineage of the former Fuke temple, Fudaiji, which was located in Hamamatsu and founded by Kanemoto Seien, 1819-1895). Kimpû ryû was originally located in Hirosaki in northern Honshû. It was officially founded by Nyûi Getsuei, 1833-1898) in 1883, but traces its lineage back to Kurihara Kimpû, a komusô active in Edo during the early 1800s. Though there are very few active members of either of these ryû, their repertoire continues to be transmitted through other lineages and individuals.
