Tsurugi Kyomudō (Tsurugi Seiji) Born April 8, 1926 in Kumamoto Prefecture, studied shakuhachi making with Yada Chōichi and Kinko-ryū shakuhachi playing with Torii Kyomudō. During a career spanning 50 years, he was a teacher, performer, presided over the Wakana-kai, and was a lecturer in the Shakuhachi Club of Kumamoto University School of Medicine and RKK Gakuen.
