Sakura Itsuyō (Hiroshi Sakura) was born December 7, 1911 in Nagoya. He studied Itsudō-ha Kinko-ryū under Kawamoto Itsudō I and Mizutani Itsusei. He was a member of the Nagoya branch of the Kinko-ryū Itsudō-ha Kōshū-kai.
