Nakatani Seikyō (Nakatani Kunio) was born September 7, 1923. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Yoshida Seifū, Oyabu Shūrei, and Satō Seibi. He began teaching in 1954. He was a member at the Bifū-kai headquarters.
