Shakuhachi
Born in Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture, Takano Eizan (birth name Seitarō) became familiar with the shakuhachi at an early age, first learning from Goshoji Kōzan, who taught him until he became a Jun-Shihan (associate master), and later studying with Fujita Shizan. He was the president of Amagasaki Enamel Co., Ltd. and the chairman of the Tozan-ryū Kyowa Orchestra, where he taught younger players.
