Stephen has studied under Ronnie Nyogetsu Seldin in New York since 1987. He was licensed in 1997. He plays the honkyoku and gaikyoku repertoire as well as original compositions. Stephen is available for teaching in Westchester county, NY.

He produced the compilation CD, A Prayer for the Missing, of Mr. Seldin’s New York licensed teachers in honor of 911, proceeds toward disaster victims funds as well as shakuhachi scholarships through Monty Levinson’s organization.
