Stan Richardson has studied shakuhachi for over 25 years and teaches and performs regularly in Texas and around the United States. He focuses on the use of shakuhachi as a hoki or Zen instrument and his recent recording, Shakuhachi Meditations Music emphasizes this aspect of suizen practice. Stan has performed throughout Japan with members of Kisui-an shakuhachi dojo and lives in Dallas, Texas where he teaches in his small dojo.
