Bill first studied Shakuhachi in the UK in 1986, in 1993 he went to Japan for his second visit and has been living in Japan ever since. Studied with Katsuya Yokoyama '93-2000 as a member of the Chiku Shin Kai. Bill has performed about 50 very provincial concerts in Nagano-Ken, and is a regular performer at Ho Gakku Salad in Iina City. Performed with Sacramento Taiko Dan on their tour of Japan in 2000. Studied Shakuhachi construction with Tom Deaver '93-'97. Specific interests Do-kyoku and the compositions of Fukuda Rando, Bill also enjoys playing recent compositions.
